NUKEM sells its NIS Division
NUKEM Technologies GmbH, Alzenau, is selling its NIS Division to Siempelkamp Nukleartechnik in Krefeld as part of a so-called asset deal. The NIS Division of NUKEM Technologies includes information technology and consulting as well as systems engineering and consulting. NUKEM Technologies GmbH will be concentrating in future on decommissioning, waste management and engineering services, e.g. within the HTR technology, especially in Western and Eastern Europe, as well as Asia. The parent company, Nukem GmbH, provides nuclear fuel services and is one of the largest nuclear fuel traders in the world.
The transaction will come into force retroactively on 1st October 2007. It has been agreed that the purchase price will not be disclosed.
