Contract
In the year 2009, NUKEM signed a contract with AtomEnergoProject to design and deliver a waste treatment centre for liquid radioactive waste at the Leningrad NPP unit II.
Description
The waste treatment centre is composed of:
- Liquid waste evaporation facility
- Liquid waste cementation facility
- Monitoring systems
The facilities are located in a new building. The building, its infrastructure etc were designed and constructed by the customer.

NUKEM provided the following services:
- Basic and Detail Design of the processing facilities
- Preparation of a safety analysis report
- Supply of equipment
- Installation supervision
- Personnel training
- Commissioning
- Supervision of acceptance tests
